Monument Legal, a prominent Washington, DC Criminal Defense law firm dedicated to upholding justice, proudly announces the Pillars of Justice Scholarship!

This scholarship aims to support promising college students or law students passionate about pursuing careers in social justice-related law. We seek students who demonstrate a profound commitment to advocating for equality, fairness, and the rights of marginalized communities. The recipient(s) will be selected based on the strength and impact of their essay, demonstrating their understanding of social justice issues and their aspirations for using legal skills to effect positive change.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or law school student
  • Demonstrated interest in social justice-related law (e.g., through coursework, extracurricular activities, volunteer work)
  • Submission of a compelling essay regarding your passion in social justice

Due Date:
Essays must be submitted by March 1, 2027. Winner(s) will be selected and notified by April 1, 2027. The number of scholarships awarded will vary depending on the number and quality of applicants. At least one undergraduate student and one law student will receive an award.
